12 oz (340g) fettuccine or your pasta of choice

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: Red pepper flakes for a hint of spice

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

        Add Liquids: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

          Mix in Cheese and Seasoning: Lower the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix until the cheese melts and combines well with the sauce.

            Combine Pasta and Chicken: Add the cooked pasta and sautéed chicken to the skillet. Toss everything together, coating the pasta and chicken in the creamy garlic sauce. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
