Ingredients

2 cups cooked macaroni

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

2 large eggs, beaten

Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Instructions

Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, sharp cheddar, mozzarella, cream cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour. This will help the mixture firm up, making it easier to shape into balls.

Shape the Balls: Once chilled, use your hands to take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat this process until all the mixture is shaped into balls (approximately 12 to 15 balls).

Bread the Balls: Set up a breading station with two bowls: one with the beaten eggs and another with the breadcrumbs. Dip each mac and cheese ball into the egg, ensuring it’s fully coated, then roll it in the breadcrumbs until fully covered.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

Air Fry the Balls: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the mac and cheese balls in the basket in a single layer, making sure they do not touch (you may need to do this in batches). Spray the tops of the balls with a little cooking spray to help them crisp up.

Cook: Air fry the mac and cheese balls for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Shake the basket halfway through the cooking time for even crisping.

Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the balls from the air fryer. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce (like marinara, ranch, or hot sauce) and enjoy!
