Ingredients

1 package (15 oz) of pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or desired toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives)

1/4 cup marinara sauce (for filling)

1/4 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 egg (for egg wash)

Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: If using homemade pizza dough, let it rise until doubled in size, approximately 1 hour. If using store-bought, follow package directions to bring it to room temperature.

Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into 3x3-inch squares.

Fill the Rolls: Place a small spoonful of marinara sauce in the center of each dough square, followed by a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese and a few slices of pepperoni. Be careful not to overfill.

Seal the Rolls: Fold the corners of the dough squares towards the center to create a pocket. Pinch the edges firmly to seal each roll. For extra security, you can crimp the edges with a fork.

Prepare for Air Frying: Brush the tops of the pizza rolls with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning for added flavor. Beat the egg in a small bowl and lightly brush it over the rolls for a golden finish.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Pizza Rolls: Place the rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not crowded (you may need to work in batches). Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Carefully remove the rolls from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute. Serve with warm marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
