Ingredients

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

12 slider buns

1 cup coleslaw mix (optional for topping)

Pickles for serving (optional)

Instructions

Prep the Chicken: Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Make sure to coat them evenly.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet or slow cooker, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken and brown each side for about 3-4 minutes. If using a slow cooker, set it on low.

Add Sauce and Liquid: Pour in the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar. Add the BBQ sauce, ensuring the chicken is covered in the liquid. If using a skillet, lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 30-40 minutes, flipping once halfway, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Shred the Chicken: Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet/slow cooker and let it cool slightly. Shred the chicken using two forks or your hands.

Combine with BBQ Sauce: Return the shredded chicken to the skillet or slow cooker, mixing it well with the remaining BBQ sauce. Let it simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Prepare the Sliders: Slice the slider buns in half. If desired, lightly toast them in a dry skillet or under a broiler until golden.

Assemble the Sliders: Spoon a generous portion of the pulled chicken onto the bottom half of the slider buns. Top with coleslaw if using and then place the top half of the bun on each slider.

Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter and serve with pickles on the side for an extra crunch. Enjoy your delicious BBQ Pulled Chicken Sliders!
