Ingredients

For the Biscuit Crust:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

3/4 cup buttermilk

For the Sausage Gravy:

1 pound breakfast sausage (spicy or mild, based on preference)

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk

1 teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt to taste

For the Topping:

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 large eggs

Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Biscuit Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

      - In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

        - Add the cold, cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

          - Gradually stir in the buttermilk until the dough comes together but is still slightly sticky.

            - Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it 3-4 times. Roll it out into a 12-inch circle to fit your pizza pan or baking sheet.

              Bake the Biscuit Crust:

                - Transfer the rolled dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.

                  Make the Sausage Gravy:

                    - While the crust is baking, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks.

                      - Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and mix well, allowing it to cook for about 1 minute.

                        - Slowly pour in the milk while stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the gravy thickens (about 5-7 minutes).

                          - Season with black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to taste. Remove from heat.

                            Assemble the Pizza:

                              - Once the biscuit crust is baked, remove it from the oven. Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the crust.

                                - Crack the two eggs on top, evenly spaced out. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over everything.

                                  Final Bake:

                                    - Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your liking and the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

                                      Garnish and Serve:

                                        - Once out of the oven, garnish with fresh parsley or chives. Allow it to cool for a couple of minutes before slicing into wedges.

                                          - Serve warm and enjoy the hearty breakfast!
