2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)

2 cups fresh broccoli florets (or frozen, thawed)

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup cream of mushroom soup (homemade or canned)

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1/4 teaspoon paprika (for a hint of spice)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

2 tablespoons butter, melted (if using breadcrumbs)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Prepare the Rice: If you haven't done so, cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside. This can be done in advance.

      Steam the Broccoli: If using fresh broccoli, steam the florets until they are bright green and tender, about 5-7 minutes. If using frozen, ensure they're thawed and drained.

        Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, steamed broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese (reserving a little for topping), cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
