Ingredients

2 cups fresh broccoli florets, steamed

6 large eggs

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1/4 cup diced onion

1/4 cup diced bell pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for sautéing the vegetables)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Sauté the Vegetables: In a medium skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until fully combined. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Mix well.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the steamed broccoli, sautéed onion and bell pepper, and both cheeses (cheddar and Parmesan) into the egg mixture, ensuring everything is evenly coated.

Grease the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a 9x9 inch (or similar size) baking dish with cooking spray, olive oil, or butter.

Pour and Bake: Pour the egg and vegetable mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden and slightly puffed.

Cool and Serve: Let the Cheesy Broccoli Egg Bake cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious dish!
