Ingredients

4 medium ripe bananas

1 cup dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate for a sweeter treat)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or peanuts)

1/2 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)

1/2 cup sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

4 wooden popsicle sticks

Parchment paper (for freezing)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the bananas and cut them in half crosswise. Insert a wooden popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana half, creating a handle. Arrange the banana pops on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Freeze the Bananas: Place the banana pops in the freezer for about 1-2 hours until they are completely frozen.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.

Prepare the Coatings: In separate bowls, prepare your toppings by placing the chopped nuts, shredded coconut, and sprinkles.

Dip the Frozen Bananas: Remove the frozen banana pops from the freezer. One at a time, dip each banana in the melted chocolate, making sure to coat them completely. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.

Add Coatings: While the chocolate is still wet, roll the coated banana pops in your chosen toppings (nuts, coconut, or sprinkles) to cover them as desired.

Set the Pops: Place the coated banana pops back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and return them to the freezer for at least 30 minutes to set the chocolate.

Serve and Enjoy: Once the chocolate has hardened, remove the banana pops from the freezer and serve immediately for a refreshing treat. They can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week.
