Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough (8 rolls)

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/2 cup chopped fresh fruit (such as strawberries, bananas, or apples)

1/2 cup cooked bacon or sausage, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts)

Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven according to the cinnamon roll dough package instructions.

Prepare Cinnamon Rolls: Open the can of cinnamon roll dough and separate the individual rolls. Cut each roll into quarters.

Assemble Skewers: On each wooden skewer, thread alternating pieces of the cinnamon roll dough, fresh fruit, cooked bacon or sausage, and nuts. For example, thread a quarter of cinnamon roll, a slice of fruit, a piece of bacon, and repeat until the skewer is filled, leaving space at each end for handling.

Prepare for Baking: Place the prepared skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are spaced apart.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

Drizzle with Syrup: Remove the skewers from the oven and immediately drizzle warm maple syrup over them for added flavor.

Garnish (Optional): If desired, dust the skewers with powdered sugar for a sweet finish.

Serve: Allow the skewers to cool slightly before serving. They can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature and make for a delightful breakfast treat!
