Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 4-5 minutes.

Add the Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, orange zest, and fresh orange juice until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Mix Dry into Wet: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in White Chocolate Chips: Using a spatula, gently fold in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked; this is okay as they will firm up as they cool.

Cool the Cookies: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the Orange Glaze: In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, fresh orange juice, and orange zest until smooth and pourable. Adjust the consistency by adding more orange juice or powdered sugar as necessary.

Glaze the Cookies: Once the cookies are completely cooled, drizzle the orange glaze over the top of each cookie with a spoon or a piping bag.

Serve and Enjoy: Let the glaze set for a few minutes, then serve these delightful Creamsicle Orange Cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage!
