Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

¼ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)

¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Extra Parmesan for serving

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Drain the pasta and broccoli, reserving about ½ cup of pasta water.

Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add Cream and Cheese: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a little of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.

Season the Sauce: Stir in the salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using) to taste.

Combine: Add the cooked fettuccine and broccoli to the Alfredo sauce. Gently toss until the pasta is coated in the creamy sauce.

Serve: Plate the creamy broccoli Alfredo pasta, garnishing with freshly chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.

              Enjoy your meal!
