Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: Red pepper flakes (for a little kick)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions (about 8-10 minutes), until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about ¼ cup of the pasta water.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-6 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.

Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

Combine: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet along with the drained fettuccine. Toss everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.

Serve: Plate the Alfredo pasta and garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color. Enjoy your quick and creamy chicken alfredo!
