Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon lemon juice

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Salmon: In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Carefully flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.

Add Cream: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to combine. Add the Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir the mixture over medium heat until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy and smooth.

Season: Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning and adjust the seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste. If you'd like it to be more decadent, feel free to add more Parmesan!

Combine: Return the salmon fillets to the skillet and spoon the creamy garlic butter sauce over them. Allow the salmon to simmer gently in the sauce for about 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serve: Once done, plate the salmon fillets and drizzle extra sauce from the skillet over the top. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges for added brightness.
