2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks

4 cloves of garlic, peeled

1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup sour cream

Salt, to taste

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1/4 cup chopped fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

Boil the Potatoes: In a large pot, add the peeled and chunked Yukon Gold potatoes along with the garlic cloves. Cover with cold water and add a generous pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

    Cook until Tender: Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and cook the potatoes and garlic for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
