Ingredients

12 oz linguine or fettuccine pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large lemon (zested and juiced)

2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional for garnish)

1 tablespoon capers (optional for added flavor)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the linguine or fettuccine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

Prepare the Cream Sauce: Reduce the heat to low, then add the heavy cream to the skillet. Stir well, allowing it to heat gently. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.

Add Lemon and Dill: Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until combined. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly with the creamy sauce. If using, fold in the halved cherry tomatoes and capers for a burst of flavor.

Serve: Plate the creamy lemon dill pasta and garnish with extra dill and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing flavors!
