12 oz ziti pasta

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare Spinach Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti, marinara sauce, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Fold in the spinach and ricotta mixture until evenly distributed.

Assemble Dish: Pour half of the pasta mixture into a large baking dish. Top with half of the remaining mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese. Add the rest of the pasta mixture on top, followed by the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Bake: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden on top.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves (if using) before serving. Enjoy your delicious cheesy baked ziti!
