Easy Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 cups broccoli florets

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook the Fettuccine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. In the last 3-4 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Chicken: While the pasta cooks, season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.

      Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

        Combine: Add the drained fettuccine and broccoli back into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat everything evenly.

          Serve: Slice the chicken and arrange it over the creamy pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
