Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1 cup rolled oats

1/3 cup almond butter (or any nut butter of your choice)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds (optional)

A pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: In a medium mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas thoroughly with a fork until smooth.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

Mix Wet Ingredients: Add the almond butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir until all the wet ingredients are well incorporated.

Combine Everything: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined. If desired, fold in dark chocolate chips and chopped nuts or seeds for added texture and flavor.

Shape the Bites: Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, portion out the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls or flatten them slightly into discs.

Prepare for Freezing: Place the formed bites onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are spaced out evenly.

Freeze: Pop the baking sheet into the freezer for about 1-2 hours, or until the bites are completely frozen.

Store or Serve: Once frozen, transfer the bites to a freezer-safe bag or container for easy access, or enjoy a few immediately as a snack!
