Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, mashed

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust for sweetness)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

1/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

1/2 tsp cinnamon

A pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Begin by mashing the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl. Ensure there are no large lumps for a smooth texture.

Mix the Base: Add the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the mashed bananas. Stir until perfectly combined and creamy.

Incorporate Add-ins: Fold in the chopped walnuts and mini chocolate chips to the mixture. Make sure they are evenly distributed.

Line the Pan: Line an 8x8 inch (or similar size) baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some extra hanging over the edges for easy removal later.

Pour the Mixture: Spread the yogurt mixture evenly into the lined baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Freeze the Bars: Place the baking dish in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours, or until the mixture is completely set and firm.

Cut Into Bars: Once frozen, remove the dish from the freezer. Use the edges of the parchment paper to lift the frozen block out. Place on a cutting board, and with a sharp knife, cut into bars or squares.

Serve & Enjoy: Serve immediately or store the bars in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks. Let sit for a couple of minutes at room temperature before enjoying for easier biting!
