Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each, skin-on preferred)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Fresh herbs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Herb Butter: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in the parsley, dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.

Add the Garlic Herb Butter: Spoon the garlic herb butter mixture over each salmon fillet, ensuring an even coating. Reserve a little of the herb butter for serving if desired.

Bake the Salmon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Broil for Extra Flavor (Optional): For an extra touch of flavor and a beautiful glaze, switch the oven to broil during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.

Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with lemon wedges and a drizzle of the reserved garlic herb butter, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
