Ingredients

4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

1 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare the Breading Station:

In three separate shallow dishes, set up your dredging station:

        - In the first dish, add the flour and season with salt and pepper.

          - In the second dish, whisk the eggs until well combined.

            - In the third dish, mix the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt.

Prep the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. This helps the breading stick better. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.

                Dredging Process:

                  - First, coat each pork chop in the flour, shaking off any excess.

                    - Next, dip the floured pork chop into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is fully coated.

                      - Finally, press the pork chop into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s fully covered. Repeat for all pork chops.

                        Searing the Chops:

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.

                            Bake the Chops:

Once seared, transfer the pork chops to the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

                                Rest and Garnish:

After cooking, let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes. This helps the juices redistribute. Before serving, sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color.

Serve: Serve the Garlic Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes, and enjoy knowing you’ve created a delicious, gourmet meal!
