Ingredients

6 cups water

4 black tea bags (or 4 tablespoons loose black tea)

2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated (or 2 teaspoons ground ginger)

1/4 cup honey (or to taste)

Juice of 1 lemon

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Ice cubes

Instructions

Boil Water: In a large pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat.

Brew Tea: Add the black tea bags (or loose tea in a tea infuser) to the hot water. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on desired strength.

Add Ginger: While the tea is steeping, add the grated ginger to the pot for an aromatic kick. Stir well to incorporate the flavors.

Sweeten the Brew: Remove the tea bags and stir in the honey, ensuring it dissolves completely. Adjust sweetness to your liking.

Infuse Peaches: Add the sliced peaches to the warm tea. Allow it to sit for an additional 10-15 minutes to infuse the peach flavor.

Strain and Cool: Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea to remove the peach slices and ginger. If you prefer a more intense peach flavor, you can leave a few cubes of peach in the tea.

Add Lemon Juice: Stir in the fresh lemon juice, which adds a refreshing tang to balance the sweetness.

Chill: Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it for at least 1-2 hours until thoroughly chilled.

Serve: To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled ginger peach tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of peach, if desired.
