Ingredients

2 large flatbreads (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup marinara sauce (or pizza sauce)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni (or your choice of toppings)

1/4 cup sliced black olives

1/4 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)

1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C). Ensure the grates are clean and well-oiled to prevent sticking.

In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Brush one side of each flatbread with this mixture for added flavor.

Place the flatbreads (oiled side down) directly on the grill. Grill for 2 minutes, or until you see grill marks and the bottom is slightly crispy.

Flip the flatbreads over and lower the heat to medium. Spread a generous layer of marinara sauce on the grilled side of each flatbread.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce, followed by your choice of toppings (pepperoni, olives, bell peppers, and red onion).

Close the grill lid and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the flatbread are crispy. Keep a close eye to prevent burning!

Once done, carefully remove the pizzas from the grill using a spatula. Let them cool for a minute before garnishing with fresh basil leaves.

Slice and serve your delicious grilled flatbread pizzas hot, and enjoy the smoky flavor and melty cheese!
