4 slices of sourdough bread

2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced

4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by slicing the tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Set aside.

    Mix the Basil: In a small bowl, combine the chopped basil with balsamic glaze. This will elevate the flavor of the tomatoes.

      Assemble the Sandwiches: On two slices of sourdough bread, layer the sliced tomatoes evenly. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using) over them. Add a layer of fresh mozzarella cheese and drizzle the basil-balsamic mixture on top.

        Top it Off: Place the remaining two slices of sourdough bread on top to complete your sandwiches.

          Grill the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet or a griddle over medium heat. Brush one side of each sandwich with olive oil. Place the sandwiches in the skillet, oiled side down. Grill for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
