Instructions

Prepare the Turkey Burgers:

    - In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and parsley.

      - Mix everything together until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.

        - Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Use your thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

          Make the Peach Salsa:

            - In another bowl, combine the diced peaches, red onion, minced jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice.

              - Season with salt to taste and gently stir to combine. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

                Grill the Turkey Burgers:

                  - Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.

                    - Place the turkey patties on the grill and cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side. Flip the burgers and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

                      Assemble the Burgers:

                        - Toast the whole grain burger buns lightly on the grill for about 1 minute until golden.

                          - Place the grilled turkey patty on the bottom half of the bun, add a generous scoop of peach salsa on top, and layer with lettuce and avocado if desired.

                            - Top with the other half of the bun.

                              Serve:

                                - Serve the burgers hot with extra peach salsa on the side for dipping or topping.
