Ingredients

4 cups fresh spinach, washed and dried

1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced

1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted

1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced

1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette (store-bought or homemade)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Spinach: Start by washing the spinach leaves thoroughly to remove any dirt or grit. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel or use a salad spinner for quick drying.

Slice the Strawberries: Hull the strawberries by removing the greens and the white part beneath them. Cut each strawberry into thin slices and set aside.

Toast the Almonds: In a dry skillet over medium heat, add the sliced almonds. Stir frequently for about 3-5 minutes until they are golden brown and fragrant. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning. Once toasted, remove from heat and let cool.

Mix the Salad: In a large salad bowl, combine the spinach, sliced strawberries, toasted almonds, crumbled feta cheese, and red onion.

Dress the Salad: Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the salad. Gently toss to combine, ensuring all ingredients are evenly coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Serve immediately for the freshest taste, or cover and refrigerate for up to 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
