Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Meatball Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parmesan, parsley, minced garlic, egg, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until just combined; avoid over-mixing to keep the meatballs tender.

Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each meatball.

Bake the Meatballs: Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: While the meatballs are baking, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and grated ginger in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently until the mixture begins to simmer. Allow it to simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Combine Meatballs and Sauce: Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the meatballs and gently toss to coat them evenly.

Serve: Serve the honey garlic turkey meatballs warm, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onion. They pair beautifully with rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad!
