For the Chicken Patties:

1 lb ground chicken

1 ripe mango, peeled and diced

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Sliders:

8 slider buns

1/2 cup avocado, mashed

1 cup arugula or mixed greens

1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced

Sliced mango for garnish (optional)

Lime wedges for serving

For the Mango-Basil Sauce:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon lime juice

1/4 cup mango puree (blended ripe mango)

1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped

Pinch of salt

Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, lime juice, mango puree, finely chopped basil, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and set aside in the refrigerator to chill.

    Make the Chicken Patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, diced mango, chopped basil, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well-incorporated.

      Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into slider-sized patties, about 3 inches in diameter.

        Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.

          Assemble the Sliders: Cut the slider buns in half and spread a layer of the mango-basil sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
