Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp pure maple syrup

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

1/4 cup chopped pecans (for garnish)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.

Make the Maple Dijon Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and Dijon mustard until smooth.

Combine and Bake: Pour the maple Dijon glaze over the Brussels sprouts and toss to combine. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Roasting: Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and nicely caramelized, stirring halfway through for even cooking.

Finishing Touches: Once done, remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chopped pecans and fresh parsley over the top for added crunch and flavor.

Serve: Warm the Brussels sprouts as a perfect side dish for your meal. Enjoy the sweet and tangy flavors!
