Ingredients

2 cups cooked macaroni (elbow or shells)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1 cup Panko breadcrumbs

2 eggs, beaten

Olive oil spray (or cooking spray)

Instructions

Prepare the Mac & Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, shredded cheddar, grated Parmesan, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes. This will help it firm up, making it easier to form balls.

Form the Balls: Once chilled, scoop out about 1-2 tablespoons of the mac & cheese mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

Bread the Balls: Set up a breading station. Place the beaten eggs in one bowl and the Panko breadcrumbs in another. Dip each mac & cheese ball into the egg, allowing any excess to drip off, then roll it in the Panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Balls: Lightly spray the basket of the air fryer with olive oil spray. Arrange the mac & cheese balls in a single layer in the basket, making sure they don’t touch. Spray the tops of the balls with more olive oil spray.

Cook Until Golden: Air fry the balls for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. You may need to shake the basket halfway through for even cooking.

Serve: Once cooked, let the mac & cheese balls cool for a few minutes, then serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce, like marinara or ranch dressing.
