Ingredients

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/4 cup pizza sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg (for egg wash)

Optional: Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a lightly floured surface. Cut the dough along the perforated lines to create triangles.

Assemble the Bites: On the wide end of each triangle, place a small spoonful of pizza sauce, followed by a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and a few slices of pepperoni. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper on top.

Roll Them Up: Carefully roll the triangles from the wide end to the tip, forming a crescent shape. Pinch the seams to seal the filling inside.

Prepare for Baking: Place the crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush the mixture over each crescent to give them a golden brown finish while baking.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crescents are puffed and golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired, alongside extra pizza sauce for dipping.
