1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 cups crushed Oreo cookies (about 15-18 cookies, depending on size)

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Extra Oreos for topping (optional)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

    Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly.

      Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

          Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix! The batter should be thick and fudgy.

            Add Crushed Oreos and Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

              Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula. If desired, press some whole Oreos into the top for an extra treat.

                Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
