Ingredients

1 pound turkey cutlets (about 4 cutlets)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons milk

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Olive oil or cooking spray for frying

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Workspace: Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes. In the first dish, place the flour. In the second dish, whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth. In the third dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt.

Bread the Cutlets: Pat the turkey cutlets dry with paper towels. First, dredge each cutlet in the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip the cutlet into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the cutlet in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it adheres well. Repeat for all cutlets.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. If using cooking spray, spray the pan generously.

Cook the Cutlets: Carefully place the breaded turkey cutlets in the skillet. Do not overcrowd; you may need to cook in batches. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Adjust the heat as necessary to prevent burning.

Drain and Serve: Once cooked, place the cutlets on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Garnish and Serve: Serve the Parmesan crusted turkey cutlets hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges for a burst of flavor. Enjoy with your favorite sides!
