Ingredients

2 cups edamame pods (fresh or frozen)

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Edamame: If using frozen edamame, bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the edamame pods and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

Make the Garlic Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked edamame pods to the skillet. Sprinkle in sea salt, red pepper flakes (if using), and lemon juice. Toss to coat the edamame in the garlic oil.

Add Cheese: Remove the skillet from heat. Immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot edamame and toss until well combined. The heat will slightly melt the cheese, creating a delicious coating.

Season: Season with freshly cracked black pepper to taste and give it one last stir.

Garnish and Serve: Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.
