Ingredients

1 cup fresh pineapple, finely diced

1 cup ripe mango, finely diced

1/2 red onion, finely chopped

1 medium jalapeño, seeds removed and minced (adjust to taste)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 2 limes

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Start by preparing your fresh ingredients: finely dice the pineapple and mango into small, equal-size pieces to ensure even mixing.

Finely chop the red onion and jalapeño. If you prefer a milder salsa, you can reduce the amount of jalapeño or leave out the seeds.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced pineapple, mango, red onion, and minced jalapeño. Gently fold the ingredients together with a spatula.

Add the chopped cilantro and squeeze the juice of the two limes into the bowl. This will not only add fresh flavor but also help preserve the vibrant colors of the salsa.

Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Start with a pinch of each, then adjust as needed after tasting.

Allow the salsa to sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes before serving. This resting time helps the flavors meld beautifully.

Serve the salsa chilled or at room temperature with tortilla chips, grilled fish, or as a topping for tacos. Enjoy!
