Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)

1 cup finely chopped mushrooms (button or cremini)

1 medium onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon soy sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon dried thyme

8 slices Swiss cheese

12 small slider buns (preferably brioche)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Mushroom Mixture: In a medium skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the finely chopped mushrooms, diced onion, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes or until the mushrooms release their moisture and the onion becomes translucent. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes while stirring. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Make the Patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the sautéed mushroom mixture. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat. Form into 12 equal-sized patties, about 2 inches in diameter.

Cook the Patties: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty, allowing it to melt slightly.

Prepare the Buns: While the patties are cooking, brush the insides of the slider buns with melted butter. Optionally, you can lightly toast them on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

Assemble the Sliders: On the bottom half of each toasted slider bun, place a cheese-covered patty. Add any desired toppings such as sautéed onions, extra mushrooms, or a smear of Dijon mustard for an extra kick. Top with the lid of the bun.

Serve: Serve the sliders warm, garnished with fresh parsley. Pair with crispy fries or a light salad for a complete meal.
