Ingredients

2 oz tequila (preferably reposado)

1 oz fresh lime juice

1 oz pineapple juice

½ oz agave syrup (adjust to taste)

1-2 serrano peppers, sliced (adjust to heat preference)

1 oz Cointreau or orange liqueur

Fresh pineapple chunks, for garnish

Lime wedges, for garnish

Tajín seasoning or coarse sea salt, for rimming the glass

Ice cubes

Instructions

Prepare the Glass: Start by rimming your margarita glass with lime juice and dipping it into Tajín seasoning or coarse sea salt to create a flavorful rim. Set aside.

Muddle the Peppers: In a cocktail shaker, add the sliced serrano peppers. Using a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon, gently mash the peppers to release their flavor. You can adjust the number of peppers based on your desired spiciness.

Combine the Ingredients: Add the tequila, fresh lime juice, pineapple juice, agave syrup, and Cointreau to the shaker with the muddled serrano peppers.

Add Ice: Fill the shaker with ice cubes. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.

Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. For a smoother drink, use a fine mesh strainer to catch any pepper seeds or pulp.

Garnish: Add a few fresh pineapple chunks to the glass and garnish with a lime wedge on the rim. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also add an extra slice of serrano on top for a touch of drama.
