1 lb ground pork

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1 large egg

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1/2 tsp ground allspice

For the Noodle Bake:

12 oz egg noodles

2 cups beef broth

1 cup sour cream

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup cream of mushroom soup

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 cup frozen peas (optional)

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Meatballs:

    - In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, parsley, egg, salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and allspice. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

      - Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

        Cook the Meatballs:

          - In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer the cooked meatballs to a plate and set aside.

            Boil the Noodles:

              - In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

                Prepare the Sauce:

                  - In a large mixing bowl, combine beef broth, sour cream, cheddar cheese, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika. Stir until well mixed. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

                    Assemble the Bake:

                      - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large baking dish, combine the cooked noodles and the meatballs. Pour the sauce evenly over the noodle and meatball mixture, ensuring everything is well coated. If using, stir in frozen peas for added color and flavor.

                        Bake:

                          - Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.

                            Serve:

                              - Once removed from the oven, let the dish sit for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
